Sunderland- Best Cup of Coffee Award
Smooth Radio North East held their very first, Love the North East Awards on Thurday 20th May in the beautiful setting of Beamish Hall Hotel.
The 100 nominated businesses and attractions, were whittled down to a shortlist of 30 (through public votes and petitions at each business/attraction), who attended the glamorous awards ceremony, hosted by Smooth Breakfast's Tom Davies. Soul singer Beverley Knight kicked off proceedings with an amazing set, then the awards were handed.
Esquires Coffee Houses in Sunderland, Picked up the 'Best Cup of Coffee' award. Doreen Parnaby, the franchise of Esquires Coffee House in Sunderland said, "We're delighted, especially as it's voted for by our customers. We have brilliant staff who make everyone welcome and I'd like to thank Smooth Radio for a brilliant day."
